If you make a claim in ezine ads that can not be supported with evidence, or even worse will be immediately contradicted by The Rules of the bottom of promoting your website, ezine ads do not work ...
If you fail to appreciate your audience and promote your product or service to market that is wrong, then again ezine ad does not work. If you're looking for quantity (large number of customers) rather than quality (the content of useful, professional approach to the publisher), ezine advertising can not work ...
If your ezine ad screams how much you or your friend is (nobody cares, believe me!), But does not tell the reader what and how to get readers of life will be improved, you may want to hire a copywriter or step of the ad business.
Ad copy & paste does not a business or 5 minute task. Advertising is art and ezine ad is part of that, no matter whether people accept or not.
